Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant Wanted in Iver! We are searching for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a lovely oversubscribed primary school set in a leafy, Buckinghamshire village. They are looking for energetic and experienced teaching assistants who have a passion for working with children with special educational needs.
The school has a SEND Unit for children with Autism, so you will need experience of ASD in a primary setting and/or have knowledge and experience of working with children with SEND/ADHD/ASD in another setting. Above all, the school are keen to recruit candidates who are calm, patient, and proactive in the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for Graduates and teaching assistants who are keen to progress with a school and become primary teachers in the future. This school are able to train teachers of the future if you are a Graduate who is passionate about becoming a teacher!
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Have at least one year of SEND support experience in a school, childcare, or care setting.
- Support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties to access the curriculum effectively.
- Demonstrate high levels of care and ambition for our students.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to SEND students and deliver engaging activities.
Requirements:
- Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills.
- Available to work 08:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
- Recent experience with children in a school or similar environment is preferred; general experience with children in the UK is essential.
- Enjoy working with children and witnessing their progress.
- Have or be willing to apply for a Child Only enhanced DBS.
- Live in Iver or within a commutable distance.
