Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a real difference in their lives? A fantastic Primary School in Maidenhead is looking for a dedicated SEND Support Mentor to join their team. As a SEND Support Mentor, you will provide vital support to children with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals in a nurturing environment.

The Role:

  • Work closely with children with SEN, providing 1:1 or small group support to help them engage with lessons and complete their work.
  • Support teachers in creating and implementing personalised learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Assist with managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Provide emotional and social support to children, helping them build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Track and monitor the progress of children with SEN, providing feedback to the teacher and parents where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.
  • DBS checked or willing to apply for one.
  • Experience working with children in the UK is essential.
  • Live in the Maidenhead area or be able to commute.
