We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Specialist to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping to create a positive, engaging, and accessible learning environment where every child can thrive.

This rewarding opportunity would suit someone with previous SEND experience within a school, alternative provision, or care setting who is passionate about supporting children both academically and emotionally. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with an immediate start available.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in the UK.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
  • A calm, caring, and proactive approach to promoting students' learning and overall development.

As a SEND Specialist, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Help ensure that every student feels supported and encouraged both in the classroom and around the school.
  • Assist with classroom management and daily routines, helping to create a calm and structured setting.
  • Play a key role in fostering an atmosphere where all pupils can develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Requirements:

  • Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
  • Hold a valid DBS, or be willing to apply for one.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
  • Live in or be able to commute easily to the St. Albans area.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills. Envision Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
