Primary SEMH Teacher (Full-Time) – Slough Are you a passionate and resilient teacher ready to make a real difference in the lives of children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? A dedicated and nurturing specialist provision in Slough is seeking a full-time Primary SEMH Teacher to join their supportive and skilled team. This is a rewarding opportunity to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a structured, therapeutic environment. In this role, you will: ✔ Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of primary-aged pupils with SEMH challenges. ✔ Foster a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom that supports pupils\’ emotional wellbeing and academic progress. ✔ Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support behaviour, self-esteem, and social development. ✔ Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including teaching assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and external professionals. ✔ Participate fully in school life, including planning, meetings, and ongoing professional development. The school offers a warm and inclusive culture, a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing, and ongoing training in SEMH and trauma-informed approaches. Requirements: ✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications from ECTs or unqualified teachers will not be considered. ✔ Experience teaching primary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEMH, PRU, or SEN setting. ✔ Excellent behaviour management, empathy, and communication skills. ✔ A patient, flexible, and restorative approach to teaching and support. ✔ A current DBS check (support available to obtain one if needed). ✔ Based in or near Slough, or able to commute reliably.
