Primary School Teaching Assistant - Watford
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Watford for a full-time Teaching Assistant. This role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, and offers a rewarding opportunity to support pupils within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex needs, helping to promote their educational progress, personal development and overall wellbeing.
We are seeking candidates with previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a special educational needs setting, or as a care/support worker with young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and Autism
- Support pupils in working towards their individual developmental milestones
- Help to create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment
- Assist with off‑site learning activities and educational visits
- Build strong, professional relationships with pupils, staff and other professionals
