Join a fantastic school in Watford as a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to support children's learning and development in a highly nurturing and inclusive setting.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will need to be confident and skilled in supporting children with complex needs, helping them with their learning, development, and personal growth. Ideally, you will have experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant in another special needs school or as a care/support worker with young adults, particularly those who are non-verbal.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)/Autism to help children meet their developmental milestones.
- Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Participate in off-site learning opportunities, supporting the children in varied settings.
- Build strong relationships with students and staff to prioritise progress.
Requirements:
- Immediate availability.
- Experience working with children and a reference to support it.
- An Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
- Live local to Watford or within a commutable distance.
