PMLD SEND Teaching Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a Secondary school working in the SEND department for challenging children with severe needs. This will be a full time role from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm. The school caters exclusively to SEND pupils for all through ages. This school has great pride in its inclusive, multi-sensory, and motivating approach to teaching.
The Role:
- Provide 1-1 support to children with SEND as a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant
- As a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant you will need to assist children during their therapy sessions
- Help prepare learning resources and activities as a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant
- Willing to support the needs of the students is essential to being a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant in a SEND setting in the UK is Ideal
- Experience doing personal care/willing to do personal care
- Enhanced DBS is essential but we can help you process one if you do not have one currently
- Excellent communication skills to engage with pupils effectively is vital as a Care Support Worker
