Envision Education is currently recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants for schools across Maidenhead, with the majority of our opportunities based within primary settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to begin or develop their career within education using the skills and experience they have already gained.

We welcome applications from candidates who have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals. Your previous experience could be highly transferable to a school environment.

You may have previously worked as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Youth Worker, Carer, Childcare Practitioner, Residential Support Worker, Sports Coach, Mentor or in another role involving children or young people.

The Role

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis

• Supporting children with SEND and additional needs

• Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills

• Supporting positive behaviour within the classroom

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks

• Providing emotional and pastoral support where required

• Helping create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff

• Supporting pupils with their individual learning and developmental needs

What We're Looking For

• No formal Teaching Assistant qualification is required

• Must be based in Maidenehad or willing to commute to Maidenhead

• Available to work 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

• Previous experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals

• A caring, patient and supportive approach

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Confident working with children and young people

• Reliable, professional and committed

• Able to work effectively as part of a team

• Experience supporting individuals with SEND is advantageous but not essential

• Previous school experience is desirable but not essential

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
