SEND LEARNING ASSISTANT
An exciting position opened in a popular, thriving school community, which proudly serves a rich and diverse multi-ethnic community.
We are seeking an enthusiastic SEND Learning Assistant eager to learn and further develop their SEND knowledge and working experience.
The role
- Monday to Friday 8:30 - 16:00
- Support pupils with their learning, lunchtime routines, and playtimes
- Work with the class teacher to prepare fun, safe, and engaging learning activities
- Help create a safe, positive environment where pupils can learn, grow, and become more independent.
- Support pupils during therapy sessions and help them take part in lessons in mainstream classrooms.
- Follow safeguarding policies and always help keep pupils safe. are met at all times
We are looking for a person who
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working in a busy, rewarding environment.
- Works well as part of a team and values supporting colleagues.
- Communicates clearly and professionally.
- Is passionate about helping children with a range of special educational needs.
- Is patient, kind, caring, and puts children at the centre of everything they do.
- Has a valid Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or is happy to apply for one.
- Previous SEND experience is desired but not essential
