We are recruiting an experienced and committed Year 6 Class Teacher for a long-term opportunity within a primary school in West London. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for their class and provide consistent, high-quality teaching through to the end of the academic year.
This role is particularly suited to a strong practitioner who can maintain high expectations, secure pupil progress and prepare children effectively for their KS2 SATs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum.
- Prepare pupils thoroughly for KS2 SATs, identifying gaps in learning and implementing targeted interventions.
- Maintain excellent behaviour management and establish a positive, purposeful classroom environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to maximise pupil outcomes.
- Provide stability, consistency and strong classroom leadership throughout the placement.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has proven experience teaching Year 6 within a primary school.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and confident behaviour management.
- Has a strong track record of improving attainment and preparing pupils for SATs.
- Is reliable, proactive and committed to remaining in the role until July 2027.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience, and skills.
