Envision Education is currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator / Receptionist to join a welcoming primary school. This is a long-term, full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 4:30pm.
The school is looking for a highly organised, professional and approachable individual who has previous experience working within a similar administrative or reception role. You will be working within a busy school office and will play an important role in ensuring the day-to-day administration of the school runs smoothly.
You will need to be confident using Microsoft Excel and Word, have strong attention to detail and be comfortable proofreading newsletters and other school communications.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and reception support within a busy primary school office.
- Act as a welcoming first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to emails and general enquiries professionally.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel confidently for day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Proofread newsletters, letters and other school communications.
- Maintain accurate pupil and school records.
- Manage documents, filing and general office administration.
- Assist with attendance and pupil information where required.
- Support senior leaders and teaching staff with administrative duties.
- Use school management systems such as Arbor or SIMS where required.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while working within a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a similar administrator or receptionist role is essential.
- Previous school administration experience is highly desirable.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written English with strong proofreading skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain professional and organised within a busy school office.
- Previous experience using Arbor or SIMS is advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
