The Role

As an

Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant , you will

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND.
  • Support pupils with their learning, development and classroom activities.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to support individual learning needs.
  • Assist pupils with communication, social and emotional development.
  • Support children who may have additional learning, behavioural or communication needs.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
  • Adapt activities and provide appropriate support to help pupils access the curriculum.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all pupils.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm).
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • Previous experience working with children, young people, SEND or in a care/support setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, caring and understanding approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • The confidence to support children with a range of additional needs.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills within an educational setting.
  • The ability to commute to or work within the

High Wycombe area.

Pay
