Envision Education is currently recruiting for aTeaching Assistantto join a welcoming and inclusive school in Hemel Hempstead.This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm, with September 2026 starts available.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and making a positive impact in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils individually, in small groups, and within the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Support children with a range of learning abilities and additional needs where required.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times.

Days and Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am - 4:00pm
  • Full-time
  • September 2026 start

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 months' UK experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, tutoring, sports coaching, youth work, or similar setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and reliable approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
