Are you looking for a role as a SEND Support Assistant? Do you live local to Hemel Hempstead? Are you looking for a challenging and exciting opportunity where you can provide support and emotional care to others? Do you have previous experience as a carer or Support worker in the UK?
We have a fantastic opportunity to join a SEND school working in the SEND department for challenging children with severe needs. This will be a full time role from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm. The school caters exclusively to SEND pupils for all through ages. This school has great pride in its inclusive, multi-sensory, and motivating approach to teaching.
The Role:
- Provide 1-1 support to children with SEND as a SEND Support Assistant
- Assist children during their therapy sessions
- Help prepare learning resources and activities
- Willing to support the needs of the students is essential to being a SEND Support Assistant
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a SEND Support Assistant in a SEND setting in the UK is ideal
- Previous experience working with SEND students in the UK is essential
- Enhanced DBS is essential but we can help you process one if you do not have one currently
- Excellent communication skills to engage with pupils effectively is vital
