The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across the school, primarily within the Science department. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring pupils remain engaged and motivated throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to secondary school pupils.
- Flexibly cover other subjects and lessons across the school when required.
- Follow provided lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Support pupils in achieving their academic potential.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to uphold the school's high standards.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, particularly within Science teaching environments.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has strong behaviour management skills.
- Is confident teaching Science at secondary level.
