We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to take ownership of our school estate, ensuring that our buildings, grounds, and services operate efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. This is a hands‑on leadership role where strategic oversight meets practical problem‑solving.
Key Duties
- Develop and implement long‑term plans to maintain, improve, and future‑prove the school site.
- Coordinate all aspects of site operations, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and general upkeep.
- Supervise contractors and service providers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to regulatory standards.
- Manage procurement, track expenses, and maintain accurate records for audits and compliance purposes.
- Maintain thorough records of inspections, servicing, certifications, and safety checks across the estate.
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and statutory regulations, including fire safety, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
- Lead and motivate the facilities and cleaning teams, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.
- Provide practical support for day‑to‑day site tasks, from minor repairs to room setups and event preparation.
- Champion sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency, and environmentally responsible practices throughout the school.
The ideal candidate will:
