We are partnering with an independent and inclusive school that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maths SEND Teacher to join their team. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to pupils with SEND.
  • Adapt teaching methods, resources and lesson content to meet individual learning needs, including EHCPs and IEPs.
  • Support pupils in developing confidence and independence in Maths.
  • Create a structured, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Monitor and assess student achievement, adapting strategies where necessary.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development alongside academic progress.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching Maths within a SEND or inclusive setting.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
  • QTS is preferred; however, unqualified candidates with substantial teaching experience will also be considered.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
