Envision Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Chesham, Buckinghamshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have previous experience working in a school or nursery setting and are looking to develop their career in education.
You do not need a formal Teaching Assistant qualification to apply. However, previous experience working in a school or nursery is essential.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have supported children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), additional learning needs or social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The Role
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and other school staff to support pupils throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with classroom learning and educational activities.
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support.
- Assisting children with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Helping pupils remain focused, engaged and motivated.
- Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson activities.
- Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills.
- Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a school or nursery setting is essential.
- Experience supporting primary-aged children.
- Experience supporting children with SEND is highly desirable.
- A patient, caring and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Reliability, professionalism and a genuine interest in children's development.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
- Ability to commute to schools in Chesham and the surrounding areas.
Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Assistant, Classroom Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant would be particularly relevant.
