We are partnering with a supportive, welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Bushey that is seeking committed SEND Teaching Assistants to join its team. The role involves supporting children with SEND and helping them access learning and develop their communication, independence and social skills.
Key Responsibilities for a SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Provide classroom, 1:1 and small-group support to children.
- Support pupils with their learning, communication and emotional regulation.
- Use effective behaviour-management strategies to promote positive behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
For this role, you will have:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
- Strong behaviour-management and communication skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to commute to Bushey.
