  • Encourage the pupil to develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
  • Adapt activities and provide appropriate support to help the pupil access the curriculum.
  • Help the pupil overcome barriers to learning and participate fully in school life.
  • Build a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
  • Support the pupil both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Encourage positive interaction with peers and support social development.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of the pupil.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and other professionals to ensure the pupil receives appropriate support.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
