A welcoming and well-established primary school in Watford is looking to appoint a full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This role involves providing 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to play a key role in supporting children’s learning, confidence, and development in a warm and inclusive school environment.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Location: Watford
Previous experience in a school or nursery setting would be beneficial; however, it is essential that applicants have some experience working with children in the UK. This position would suit a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting young learners during the early stages of their education.
The Role of the Early Years Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting engaging lessons using visual prompts, audio resources, and colour-based learning.
- Helping children develop early learning skills, such as recognising the alphabet and identifying everyday objects.
- Assisting the class teacher in maintaining safe, welcoming, and child-friendly classrooms and outdoor play areas.
- Supporting communication with parents by sharing positive progress and helping identify ways to overcome early development challenges.

Requirements:
- Available to work 08:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday
- Obtain a level 2 or level 3 in Early Years
- Experienced in phonics and interventions.
- Already have or willing to apply and pay for a Child Only DBS
- Either live in Watford or within a commutable distance
- Have knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and experience in early years
