We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work closely with students and staff in a caring, inclusive school environment. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEND, assisting in their learning and development.
- Help create a supportive, engaging, and safe environment for children with SEND.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the progress of SEND students.
- Work one-to-one with children with SEND to support them in achieving their developmental milestones.
- Foster positive relationships in the classroom and assist with behaviour management.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
- A passion for supporting children with SEND and a commitment to making a positive impact.
- Available to start immediately and able to commit for the full academic year.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a DBS check.
- Experience working with children, with references available.
- Local to St. Albans or within a commutable distance.
