Job Description
Envision Education is currently recruiting for a
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a brand-new, purpose-built all-through specialist school in Hillingdon, West London . This is a full-time role, working
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm . We have immediate and September 2026 starts available , with trial days taking place now to secure your position.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive team from the very beginning, helping to shape an inspiring learning environment for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Responsibilities
- Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes under the direction of the class teacher.
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), adapting learning to meet individual needs.
- Monitor, assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and achievement.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
- Prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised and stimulating learning environment.
- Support the planning and delivery of lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Deliver interventions and targeted support programmes.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and other professionals to support pupil development.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Teaching Assistants where appropriate.
- Follow safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or significant experience working at HLTA level.
- A minimum of
6 months' UK experience working within a primary school or specialist educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
- Experience supporting children with SEND. Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
