We are partnering with an independent and inclusive school that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SENCO to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a nurturing environment that focuses on personalised learning and supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and coordinate SEND provision across the school.
  • Identify pupils with additional needs and ensure appropriate support strategies are implemented.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of interventions and support plans.
  • Support staff in delivering inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
  • Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and best practice guidance.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience supporting or teaching pupils with SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND practices and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
  • QTS is preferred; however, unqualified candidates with substantial teaching experience will also be considered.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
