The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused, and motivated throughout the school day. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of behaviour and creating a positive learning environment during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects.
- Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Encourage pupil engagement and participation in lessons.
- Follow school policies and procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to uphold the school’s high standards.

- Is confident supervising classes across a range of subjects.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is adaptable and able to work with different year groups.
- Has previous experience working with children or young people (desirable).
