Location: Various Sites (Gaydon / Coventry / Solihull / Halewood) – Flexibility required

Salary bracket: £45k – £52 DOE

Employment Type: Full-time, Contract (12 Months)

Sponsorship: Not available (Must have UK residency for at least 4-5 years)

Job Purpose:

To monitor and minimise variability in wind noise performance across current production vehicle lines. Act as the in-plant representative for wind noise quality, ensuring vehicles meet customer expectations by detecting deviations, investigating root causes, and driving corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor wind noise performance via objective measurements, subjective drives, and static assessments.

* Identify deviations from target performance and conduct initial root cause investigations.

* Work with manufacturing teams to ensure build conformance to assembly processes.

* Drive issue resolution with relevant departments (engineering, production, quality).

* Liaise with the core aeroacoustics team to understand future product launches and critical wind noise characteristics.

* Support ongoing quality improvements for current production vehicles.

* Travel across multiple UK sites as required

Required Skills & Experience:

* Essential:

* Experience in an automotive production plant quality role.

* Strong problem-solving skills (Six Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis).

* Ability to subjectively assess vehicle attributes (full UK driving licence required).

* Familiarity with plant attributes (Wind Noise, S&R, Water Testing) or NVH development & measurement.

* Experience in vehicle testing, assessment, or automotive component development.

Desirable:

* Knowledge of aeroacoustics or wind noise performance testing.

* Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

Personal Attributes:

* Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.

* Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering and production teams.

* Ability to work flexibly across multiple UK sites
