Concept Engineer will be responsible for the specification and integration of complex design & technical requirements for Cockpit & Seating within the Vehicle Architecture team. Vehicle Architecture plays a critical role in driving the creation and development of cutting-edge vehicle concepts that are precisely aligned with our customers’ requirements. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional solutions through each stage of the development process, adhering to the needs of the Cycle Plan and Product Emergence Process timelines to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Support and Lead of Concept Design Development & Problem solving using CAD and other virtual technologies to proactively resolve conflicts to support a robust concept delivery.
KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONSSKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Highly proficient in Catia with the ability to develop CAD models from scratch and using A-Surface geometry. Creating package solutions to specific requirements in a complex vehicle environment.
- Confident with “blank paper” thinking and feasible idea’s creation.
- Experience of Cockpit & Seating systems, their specific requirements and integration with an A-Surface. Example - Instrument panel, Centre console, Seating systems, Occupant package, Safety system layout, UI / UX system requirements.
- Comfortable in addressing technical and project conflict, processing complex technical information and presenting it in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, utilising a variety of tools and methodologies to deliver optimal results for the vehicle and our customers.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to multiple stakeholders.
- Confident in proposing innovative ideas in diverse forums to engage people in productive discussions.
- Comfortable interpreting and navigating technical and legal requirements appropriate as applied to vehicle systems and package.
- Experience in ownership of issues as part of a cross functional team with commitment to driving robust and agreed resolution.
- German language skills an advantage.
