Join the Test & Build Support team within Electrical Engineering. You will be responsible for two work streams: integration testing and providing build support to prototype and pre-series build phases. You will manage test plans, testing and test reports of the electrical systems prior to both integration level and vehicle release. The Integration Engineer acts as the support mechanism for electrical queries from departments cross functionally. Reporting to the Functional Manager - Test & Build Support, your main responsibilities include:
- Creating and leading the Integration test plans for Simulator, Prototype and Pre-Series as well as supporting Series Production vehicles.
- Ensuring the sensitivity of the work is understood and that any vehicle work and movement is performed in line with business security practices.
- Creation and processing of problem solving tickets via KPM, IVA or iCAPTURE.
- Creation and management of integration testing KPIs and planning workbooks.
- Being the central point of contact for all planning aspects of integration tests.
- Leading all planning meetings for integration testing and escalating any/all issues within the management structure.
- Providing a flexible, responsive and professional technical support service to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Group Customers and various other Business Functions.
The support expected will cover planning, testing, build, diagnosis, analysis, rectification and Electrical and Electronic system updates. The role also includes providing and sharing learning, acting as a problem solving resource to support business objectives, and operating in a safe and conscientious manner in line with business health and safety practices. You may also support other areas of the team as required, such as CP-Tool database management, integration test support, Electrical Engineering workshop stewardship and 5S, Electrical Engineering fleet planning, LabCar/Rig Build, Simulation support and standing in for the Functional Manager when required.
The Test & Build Support function is responsible for testing each company Integration Level (BIL) and ensuring Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) during the development of products, as well as building Simulator, Prototype and Pre-Series vehicles for Electrical Engineering. The function oversees the Electrical Engineering Workshop and supports other areas of the business, which can include international travel when required. The role offers a dynamic opportunity that combines technical knowledge and customer requirements.
