Envisage is seeking a Senior Issue Management Specialist to join our Vehicle Engineering department. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the identification, tracking, and resolution of integration issues across complex vehicle systems. While this position requires a high level of technical understanding, it is a process-driven, non-hands-on role. The successful candidate will ensure consistent adherence to established protocols, effective utilization of issue management tools, and transparent reporting to senior stakeholders. You will be expected to drive actions based on clear KPIs and manage defect resolution across multiple cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end defect lifecycle, ensuring all integration issues are identified, logged, and tracked to resolution.
- Facilitate regular issue review meetings, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and timely follow-up from various departments.
- Develop, interpret, and present performance dashboards and metrics.
- Provide clear, professional presentations to senior stakeholders regarding system health and defect trends.
- Maintain and update issue registers with high accuracy and rigor, ensuring all data aligns with structured project governance frameworks.
- Apply root cause analysis (RCA) techniques to understand complex system dependencies and software integration challenges.
- Identify areas of process weakness and proactively highlight where additional support or intervention is required to meet project milestones.
Skills & Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of defect management processes and industry-standard tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, or similar).
- Solid understanding of software integration principles and complex system dependencies within an engineering environment.
- Proficiency in developing metrics and dashboards to drive actionable insights.
- Experience working within structured PMO or program team environments; familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions on sensitive or high-pressure technical matters.
- Strong background in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving methodologies.
- High level of rigor regarding process discipline and data integrity.
