We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Associate Dentist to join Ruabon Road Dental Practice on a self-employed basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced NHS dentist who is looking to join a well-established, supportive practice with a genuinely strong team culture and a busy patient base.

About the opportunity

You’ll be joining an established team of experienced cliniciansalongside a Dental Therapist and Hygienist, Dental Nurses and a supportive Administration Team.

The role will focus on general NHS dentistry , making this an ideal opportunity for someone who is confident working within the NHS Wales system and familiar with working to care packages.

You’ll have the opportunity to provide care to a genuinely varied patient base, from young children through to elderly patients, while building positive and lasting relationships within the practice.

The current associate is going on maternity leave, creating an opportunity to join the team on a temporary basis from October 2026 until March 2027 .

  • Working pattern
  • Monday - Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:00pm

Although this is a 4 day per week position, we are happy to consider 2 or 3 days per week for the right candidate.

  • Is GDC registered with the appropriate Wales Performer Number.
  • Has experience working within NHS Wales .
  • Is confident working with NHS care packages andcomfortable providing general NHS dentistry across a broad patient demographic.
  • Is hardworking, reliable and patient-focused.
  • Enjoys working as part of a large, experienced clinical team.
  • Is committed to providing high-quality care and a positive patient experience.

The practice also has a Dental Therapist and Hygienist on site every day , supporting the wider patient journey.

Oral health education, appropriate recalls and preventative care are an important part of the team's approach.

The practice uses Dentally , with the team moving across to the system in April and already highly competent in its use.
