As an Orthodontic Therapist at Riverside Dental, Norwich, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional adult orthodontic care within a fully private, forward‑thinking practice. You will work closely with Dr Bim Sawhney, Orthodontic & Clinical Lead (IAS Clinical Mentor), and our highly skilled clinical team, supporting patients throughout their orthodontic journey and helping to create confident, life‑changing smiles in a calm, supportive environment. This role offers a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, with future scope for some administrative duties to be completed remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver orthodontic treatment in line with GDC scope of practice under prescription
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances, including fixed appliances and aligner attachments
- Support predominantly adult orthodontic cases, including Invisalign and fixed appliances
- Take digital scans, clinical photographs, and orthodontic records using advanced digital technology
- Change archwires, ligatures, and carry out prescribed adjustments
- Monitor patient progress, support reviews, and coordinate treatment journeys
- Provide clear oral hygiene instruction and patient education throughout treatment
- Maintain exceptional standards of cross‑infection control and clinical governance
- Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and coordination teams to deliver a seamless patient experience
About You
We are looking for an Orthodontic Therapist who shares our commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will have:
- GDC registration as an Orthodontic Therapist
- Ideally 2+ years’ post‑qualification experience (preferred, not essential)
- Confidence using digital scanning and orthodontic software
- Excellent communication and chairside manner
- A calm, organised, and professional approach
- Strong ethical standards and up‑to‑date CPD
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a close‑knit team
- A clinical portfolio and excellent references (desirable)
- A social media presence is an advantage, but not essential
Hours
Ideally 24–35 hours per week. We are happy to consider two Orthodontic Therapists working 2 days each.
