Oakmead Dental Care is looking for an experienced and patient-focused Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional team in East Grinstead. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Dental Nurse with implant and sedation experience to become part of a well established practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care. You'll work alongside experienced clinicians, supporting a wide range of treatments in a modern and supportive environment where clinical excellence and teamwork are highly valued.
About the Role
As a Dental Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting clinicians, maintaining high clinical standards, and ensuring every patient receives an outstanding experience throughout their treatment journey. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing chairside support during a variety of dental procedures
- Assisting with implant and sedation treatments
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
- Ensuring compliance with infection prevention and cross-contamination protocols
- Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment
- Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Assisting with stock control and ordering
- Supporting decontamination and sterilisation procedures
- Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
Working Hours
Tuesday: 8:00am β 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am β 5:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am β 6:00pm
Friday: 8:00am β 5:00pm
Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will also be available to work occasional Saturdays until 1:00pm as part of the practice rota.
What We're Looking For
- GDC-registered Dental Nurse
- Previous experience working within a dental practice
- Implant nursing experience and training essential
- Sedation nursing experience and training essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Professional, caring, and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting advanced or specialist dental procedures
- Knowledge of digital dentistry and dental software systems
- Additional post-qualification certificates
