Job Description: Senior Engineer

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Office Requirement: Minimum 3 days per week in the office
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Reporting to: Technical Director
Role Type: Senior Project Delivery

About the Company

We are a specialist engineering consultancy operating in the renewable thermal energy, mechanical building services, and low-carbon heating and cooling sectors. Since our establishment, we have experienced consistent year-on-year growth and have built a strong reputation for delivering technically rigorous, design-led, and practical engineering solutions.

Our leadership team brings extensive experience in heat pump and thermal engineering, with a track record spanning the design, delivery, commissioning, optimisation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large-scale low-carbon heating systems. This practical experience informs our approach to engineering design and project delivery.

As our portfolio continues to expand, we are seeking a senior engineering professional to support the development of our growing design team and help shape the next phase of our growth.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to strengthen our core design capability and take a leading role in project delivery, technical governance, client engagement, mentoring, and team leadership.

This role combines senior heat pump engineering, mechanical systems design, and day-to-day technical project leadership. You will act as a lead design engineer and technical authority, owning engineering outputs, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, and managing client interfaces.

Senior Engineers remain actively involved in detailed design while taking responsibility for quality, coordination, and programme delivery. Depending on experience, the role may be appointed at Senior or Principal Engineer level, with additional commercial and technical governance responsibilities at Principal level.
