We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Area Sales Manager to join our sales team. Covering the South West England territory, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our high-quality agricultural product, including Envirobed paper based Dairy Cow Bedding. You’ll work closely with farmers, offering expert advice and tailored solutions that meet their individual needs. This role requires on-farm visits at least two days per week, with the remaining time dedicated to telesales and effective use of our CRM system. As many customers in this area are served via our drying plant in Lydney, Gloucestershire, regular visits to the site will be essential to maintaining positive business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell our full range of products to both existing and prospective farmers.
- Conduct regular farm visits to understand customer needs, provide product support, and demonstrate benefits.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with farmers, becoming a trusted advisor.
- Organise and host farm open days and farm meetings to generate leads.
- Attend and represent the company at relevant agricultural trade shows within your territory.
- Focus on ways to grow the territory and bring on new customers each week.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system to manage customer information.
Additional Duties
- Represent the sales team at national shows and events when required.
- Attend meetings at Head Office and maintain regular communication with internal teams.
- Ensure high standards of professionalism, efficiency, and collaboration across departments.
- Identify personal training and development needs to enhance performance and knowledge.
