We're supporting an innovative clean technology business as they appoint a Head of Engineering to lead the development and delivery of large-scale industrial process projects. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-funded organisation at a pivotal stage of growth, taking ownership of the engineering function and helping scale a novel industrial technology from pilot phase through to commercial deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering strategy and technical roadmap.
- Oversee engineering activities from concept development through FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning.
- Act as the senior technical authority across process design, safety and project execution.
- Build, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Manage relationships with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers and external engineering partners.
- Drive engineering excellence, process safety and operational readiness.
- Support business growth through strategic planning, budgeting and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience leading engineering teams within complex process industries.
- Strong background delivering capital projects from design through commissioning.
- Deep understanding of process safety, engineering governance and technical risk management.
- Experience working with EPCs and external engineering partners.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing engineering organisations.
