We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV / LGV Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, ranging from flatbed, artic, and skip vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for safe transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road, promoting a culture of safety at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively in all interactions.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Driver or in a similar role is essential.
  • Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) is required (may consider C only).
  • Experience operating artic, Hookloader & skip lorries is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.
