We are a leading UKAS-accredited company specialising in asbestos. Join our team and help us provide excellent service to a wide range of clients, including blue chip companies, government departments, retailers, schools, and universities. This role is based at Head Office (Hatfield Peverel).

Qualifications and Education:
- Full UK driving licence
- Work towards completing: BOHS P403 Air Sampling and Fibre Counting (PCM), BOHS P404 Clearance Testing and the Requirements for Certificate of Reoccupation or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Air Monitoring and Clearance Procedures
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Intensive 3 month training period, which will involve learning all aspects of asbestos air monitoring in accordance with HSG248 and our in-house procedures with a desire to be an asbestos analyst.
- Attend courses to attain the necessary qualifications to fulfil the Company’s commitment to progress the trainee to a level of competence.
- Learn how to take asbestos samples (known as bulk sampling).
- Learn how to conduct visual inspections and all elements of a 4 stage clearance testing of enclosures following asbestos removal by a licensed removal contractor.
- Learn how to complete all certification on issued tablet, recording accurate data within the relevant software, including a daily site diary.
- Learn how to interact on site with different contractors and Clients.
- Learn to understand risk assessments and method statements.
- Learn to project manage asbestos removal work, overseeing the works, liaising with the removal contractor’s site supervisor.
- Learn knowledge of current legislation and guidance documentation.
- Learn to undertake monthly quality control checks.
- Learn to conduct daily site risk assessments.
- Learn to complete all daily Company equipment and methodology checks ensuring all equipment is calibrated.
- Learn to complete all company forms as required.
- Learn to undertake weekly tablet checks to ensure relevant software is up to date.
- Learn to complete assigned and requested tasks in a polite competent manner to required scope of works.
- To learn and maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and guidance specific for the asbestos industry.
- To contribute to a positive culture within the business.
- To carry out other duties as may be required.
