Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence
- BOHS P402 Surveying and Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings
- BOHS P403 Air Sampling and Fibre Counting (PCM)
- BOHS P404 Clearance Testing and the Requirements for Certificate of Reoccupation
- OR
- RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying
- RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Air Monitoring and Clearance Procedures
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Undertake asbestos building surveys and bulk sampling in accordance with HSG264 and our in‑house procedures.
- Undertake daily site risk assessment.
- Ensure all samples are returned to the lab in sufficient timescales with completed associated sample receipt.
- Record accurate sample information on sample bags.
- Ensure all samples are bagged and labelled to correct Company procedure.
- Undertake all aspects of asbestos air monitoring in accordance with HSG248 and our in‑house procedures.
- Conducting visual inspections and 4 Stage Clearance Procedures
- Undertake monthly quality control checks
- Complete all daily Company equipment and methodology checks ensuring all equipment is within calibration dates.
- Complete all company forms as required
- Undertake weekly tablet checks to ensure relevant software is up to date.
- Complete all site work on issued tablet, recording accurate data within the relevant software. Including a daily diary sheet for any Air Monitoring tasks.
- Complete plans to the required company standard
- Conduct daily data transfers to ensure completed work is transferred back to the office.
- Complete assigned and requested tasks in a polite competent manner to required scope of works.
- Quality check survey reports as required.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation and guidance specific for the asbestos industry.
- Contribute to a positive culture within the business.
- Carry out other duties as may be required.
