Qualifications And Education:
- Full UK driving licence
- GCSE’s or equivalent desirable but not essential
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
- Intensive 6 month training period, that will involve assisting in asbestos surveys with a desire to becoming an asbestos surveyor.
- Attend courses to attain the necessary qualifications to fulfil the Company’s commitment to progress the trainee to a level of competence.
- Learn to undertake asbestos building surveys and bulk sampling in accordance with HSG264 and our in-house procedures.
- Learn to undertake daily site risk assessment.
- Ensure all samples are returned to the lab in sufficient timescales with completed associated sample receipt.
- Learn to complete all daily Company equipment and methodology checks.
- Learn to complete all company forms as required.
- Learn to undertake weekly tablet checks to ensure relevant software is up to date.
- Learn to complete all site work on issued tablet, recording accurate data within the relevant software.
- Learn to record accurate sample information on sample bags.
- Learn to ensure all samples are bagged and labelled to correct Company procedure.
- Learn to complete plans to the required company standard.
- Learn to conduct daily data transfers to ensure completed work is transferred back to the office.
- Learn to complete assigned and requested tasks in a polite competent manner to required scope of works.
- Learn to quality check survey reports as required.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and guidance specific for the asbestos industry.
- To contribute to a positive culture within the business.
- To carry out other duties as may be required.
