The Role
As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in keeping this essential and picturesque network running safely and smoothly for residents, businesses and visitors. As a Technical Assistant, reporting directly to the Area Manager you will:
- Contribute to the effective delivery of highway works by completing tasks assigned by the Area Manager
- Manage, interrogate and coordinate complex databases and spreadsheets to support accurate operational planning
- Produce high‑quality maps, plans and technical drawings suitable for presentation and project use
- Support data collection activities to inform revenue and capital scheme delivery
- Organise, prepare and implement permanent and temporary Traffic Regulation Orders as required

- Have strong analytical skills
- Be an excellent communicator
- Have good decision‑making skills
- Be able to prioritise and organise own workload as well as work well within a team environment
