Westmorland and Furness Council, Sustainable Transport and Highways service, are looking for an experienced, motivated and friendly individual to join us as a Highways Engagement Officer. We are excited to offer this permanent opportunity covering the three locality areas of Westmorland and Furness Council, the post being based in Kendal.

The role will provide specialist support within the Highways service to ensure the effective management, handling and response to customer requests from service users. As part of the role, you will work within a team of up to 10 people working alongside colleagues in the wider highways service, internal/external stakeholders, and also the Council’s service centre, who act as the first point of contact for the highways service.

As part of the day-to-day use of systems, you will have the opportunity to assist in the continuous development and maintenance of these systems and processes. Analysing relevant data, including trends/recommendations relating to customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction is a priority.
