This role combines a range of functions from public realm, waste and resource management responsibilities, delivering multi-million-pound transformational projects to improve services for both residents and businesses of the borough.
You will be responsible for:
- Creation and delivery of up-to-date environment/sustainability-related policies, procedures and plans
- Fulfilling a statutory and customer-focused role
- Protecting parks, open spaces and water courses
- Ensuring a suitable and sufficient bereavement service
- Managing waste, recycling collection service, street cleansing and grounds maintenance service
Underpinning all of this is our climate change program, with ambitious climate targets to achieve for our population.
