Be a Voice for Seabirds Seabirds are in trouble.

Most species that breed in Scotland are in decline, and action is urgently needed to reverse the declines and prevent extinctions.

This job will put you at the heart of that effort in Scotland.

At the Scottish Seabird Centre we are committed to saving seabirds and restoring our seas.

We understand that the pressures are growing and if we’re to achieve our goal we need to do more.

Fast.

That’s why as part of our new strategy for 2026 – 2031 we set ourselves the goal of being an influential voice for seabirds and our seas, mobilising people to act for nature and delivering policy change.

As our Policy and Campaigns officer you will have lead responsibility for this goal, working as part of the conservation team and closely with colleagues and volunteers from across the charity.

You will have strong advocacy and campaigning skills, underpinned by solid organisation and programme management skills.

And most importantly you will bring energy and commitment to help us realise our goals and to do more for Scotland’s seas and seabirds.

We welcome applicants with the right skills and experience and are happy to explore different working hours or patterns to support the right candidate.

If you would like to discuss this role, please email Carrie at [email protected].

Interviews will be held at the Scottish Seabird Centre on the 28 and 29 September.
