Overview
In this role you will welcome visitors and guide them through Scotland’s marine exhibits and experiences, including interactive displays and live feeds. You will engage with guests across reception, shop, and experience areas, helping them connect with our mission and create memorable moments. You’ll support fundraising by recruiting members and assisting appeals, contributing to seabird conservation and sea restoration efforts. This coastal setting offers a meaningful chance to develop customer service and environmental education skills while shaping visitors’ appreciation of wildlife.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors at multiple touchpoints (welcome desk, retail, Discovery Experience, boat trips)
- Guide guests through interactive exhibits and live camera feeds
- Share insights about Scotland’s wildlife and conservation efforts
- Promote and support charity fundraising, including member recruitment and appeals
- Help visitors connect with the organisation’s mission and create memorable experiences
- Support a dynamic, visitor-focused environment across varied daily activities
