Overview
In this role you will manage ecological and spatial data to support nature recovery across the National Park. You’ll work with colleagues and partners to monitor habitats and species, analyse data, and report progress to inform conservation priorities. You will help shape GIS systems and data sharing processes that enable cross‑team decisions. This is a chance to contribute to a iconic landscape while collaborating across organisations to turn data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage ecological and spatial datasets to support nature recovery work across the National Park
- Maintain systems that record, monitor and report progress against nature recovery objectives
- Analyse habitat and species data to produce reports, statistics and insights
- Help develop GIS systems and processes that support colleagues across the Land Management Section
- Collaborate with Local Environmental Record Centres and other partners to improve data sharing and collaboration
- Contribute to habitat suitability and predictive modelling to inform conservation priorities
Key requirements
- Experience of working on GIS or data management projects
- Experience of managing and validating datasets
- Strong GIS skills and understanding of spatial data
- Knowledge of data protection and data sharing requirements
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills
- Level 4 qualification in GIS-related subject
- A degree-level qualification in ecology, wildlife conservation or a related subject would be advantageous (not essential)
