Overview

In this role you will lead and develop the Trust’s conservation training programme, delivering accredited and non-accredited learning. You will enable practical conservation skills—from habitat management to species identification and tool use—through structured training. You’ll design and manage biodiversity projects, and lead project staff, volunteers and trainees. You will build partnerships with communities, funders and stakeholders to expand nature recovery opportunities and secure funding. The role is office-based with field travel, contributing to a Wilder Birmingham and Black Country impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop BBCWT's conservation training programme, delivering accredited and non-accredited learning opportunities
  • Deliver training in practical conservation skills, including habitat management, species identification and tool use
  • Design and manage biodiversity enhancement and habitat creation projects
  • Manage and support project staff, volunteers and trainees
  • Build relationships with partners, communities and funders to expand opportunities for nature recovery and skills development
  • Contribute to income generation through funding applications, tenders and contracts
