Weâre looking for a Health and Safety Consultant to join our growing team, ideally based in London or within a oneâhour commute. This is a varied, fastâpaced role where no two days look the same. One day you might be on location with a highâend TV production, carrying out recces and producing risk assessments; the next, you could be supporting stunt or SFX sequences abroad, advising on studio safety, or helping deliver largeâscale events with thousands of attendees.
Youâll be the person who helps creative teams bring their ideas to life safely â offering practical advice, training, and onâsite support that enables productions to push boundaries without compromising wellbeing. What youâll be doingReporting to the Head of Safety Services, you will:
- Provide timely, professional health and safety advice to clients and production teams.
- Offer onâsite support for a wide range of activities, from studio shoots to highârisk location work.
- Conduct proactive monitoring and audits of contractors, recommending practical riskâreduction measures.
- Develop and deliver training programmes to meet client needs.
- Promote awareness and understanding of safety resources and best practice.
- Investigate accidents and produce clear, compliant reports.
- Monitor and audit the effectiveness of risk management systems.
- Keep clients informed of key issues and work collaboratively to resolve them.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Technical IOSH membership and working towards Certified status (or IIRSM equivalent).
- Confident using Microsoft Office or similar tools.
- Experience in a health and safety role (advisor or consultant).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and guidance.
- Ability to balance operational priorities with safety requirements.
- Highly organised, with strong prioritisation skills.
- Able to influence and support stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions.
- Within reasonable commuting distance of London and surrounding studio hubs.
- Experience in TV, film, media, or events.
- Training delivery experience (online and inâperson).
- Fire risk assessment qualification (or working towards IFSM Tier Register).
- Experience managing H&S on construction sites, including construction phase plans and F10 notifications.
- Professional, selfâdisciplined, and confident communicating with diverse teams.
- A natural facilitator who can work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Adaptable, pragmatic, and comfortable in fastâmoving environments.
- Analytical, perceptive, and able to challenge constructively.
- Deliveryâfocused, proactive, and able to lead when required â including stepping into Head of Department roles for some clients.
