ERM is seeking a motivated Project Accountant to join our UK Business Unit to support the finance function with general project accounting duties. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and exciting global environmental leader. ERM operates a collaborative environment, and this person will have the opportunity to continuously broaden his/her exposure and develop a rewarding finance career through working with our consultants and the rest of the Finance Team.
We are seeking someone for an initial 12 month period to cover an internal absence, however there is potential for this to be extended or made permanent depending on performance.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide general financial support to Project Managers and Partners with managing their budgets successfully
- Project Set-up
- Project reviews
- Reconciliations of project variances and WIP
- Analysis of project costs against budget
- Support Project Managers with managing DSO days, by supporting Project Managers with invoicing and AR management and any associated queries
- Set-up and manage project trackers in Excel
- Ad-hoc queries
- Reporting
- Provide ongoing training of Project Managers, Partners and Administrators in the use of GMS and other financial management tools
The project accountant must be able to develop good working relationships with stakeholders on all levels and must therefore be very professional, outgoing and approachable. The role may involve some travel within the UK to other local offices.
