Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Anglian Water. They are recruiting for a Senior GIS Analyst to join their Digital and Geospatial Team.
You will work collaboratively with the Digital Team, the wider Anglian Water framework and the wider digital community to drive innovation, collaboration, and efficiency through the use of geospatial technologies. You will be responsible for supporting the embedding of GIS applications and processes, engaging with both external suppliers and internal users to enable development and adoption. You will employ GIS analytics to provide insight and help answer Anglian Water challenges. You will have the opportunity to drive digital transformation and deliver organisational change, contributing to a range of activities from early identification of emerging technologies to embedding as BAU.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Anglian Water framework in its assessment of spatial information to provide insight into key challenges.
- Support the project teams and wider enabling functions in the development of new GIS applications and processes, using new and innovative technologies and system tools.
- Actively promote the use of GIS and other digital technologies throughout the Alliance demonstrating the value it brings to the work.
- Actively engage with suppliers and other external stakeholders.
- Support the wider digital team in delivering on our digital strategy and implementing change in the way of innovation and new digital technologies to support the wider business.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Geography or science degree would be the most relevant, but all degrees would be considered.
- Interest in new and emerging technologies, with a vision of how these are to be delivered in practice.
- Experience in a GIS role, preferably analytics or application development.
- Experience in using ESRI ArcGIS products, in particular ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro.
- Exposure to the management and support of business systems.
- Exposure to exploitation of software solutions to improve business efficiency.
- Good understanding of CDEs and GIS-BIM integration processes.
- Experience in systems & Data integration (i.e., using APIs, BIM, CAD).
