About the Role
You’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of equipment across both field and workshop environments. This is a customer-facing role, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new products and applications. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll bring problem-solving ability, diligence, and a safety-first approach, taking ownership of issues through to successful resolution. The role involves outdoor work, UK-wide travel, and regular overnight stays — ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on engineering in varied environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, diagnose (including fault finding) and repair a wide range of equipment in both field and workshop environments.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
- Operate company vehicles safely and complete regular checks.
- Complete paperwork and digital reports accurately and on time.
- Represent Cura Terrae Water professionally on client sites and during fieldwork.
- Ensure the safe use of tools and equipment in line with company policies.
- Work flexibly to adapt to changing work schedules and travel demands.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in the water industry, with hands-on knowledge of instrumentation, maintenance and repair.
- Experience of maintenance, calibration, fault finding and repairs on various types of instrumentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of issues through to timely resolution.
- Computer literacy and willingness to learn new software systems.
- Practical experience using tools to assemble and repair equipment.
- Strong appreciation of health and safety requirements.
- Willingness to work away from home and adapt to changing schedules.
- A full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
